Discussions, Resources and Solutions To Reduce Bad Cholesterol

What is the best way to lower bad cholesterol (LDL) and raise good chloresterol (HDL)?

My doctor said each one is off by a couple points in the wrong directions.
Thanks for any input.

Eat less fat. (Check all nutrition labels to see how many grams of fat are in a given food, and don't eat foods that have a lot.) Eat more oat bran. Start an exercise program, if you don't have one already.

Beyond that, there are a whole lot of foods and supplements that might have minor benefit. However, if you avoid fat and work out, that should get you started, especially if you're only a little bit off from the ideal.
