Ok, so I’ve heard that some foods help lower cholesterol. So, I have a few questions.
1- What are some foods that help lower it?
2- How do they lower it?
3- I’ve heard that Cherrios helps- is it just the plain ones, or do "flavored" (i.e. Honey Nut) help too?
I will appreciate any knowledgable answers. Thank you!
Fish with omega-3 fatty acids and oatmeal, as well as other foods, have been found tobe effective in lowering cholesterol. The exact mechanism of each food is not known, although researchers speculate that they manage to reduce overall inflammation in your blood which helps to avid triggering the buildup of cholesterol.
As for Cheerios, any variety will work so long as they are oat-based, not rice-based.
