I’m not fat but my doc did I blood sample test with me and says that I need to lower my cholesterol intake how?
First of all, you need to question your doctor in regard to what cholesterol was too high, in his opinion. Ask him if your LDL Pattern 1 or Pattern 2 was too high and what was the ratio? If he can’t answer you, he is dealing from the bottom of the deck and alarming you for NO reason. You need to find out this ratio. Additionally, you should have him do an ESR test to see what your level of inflammation is in your body before he starts recommending drugs for you.
Doctors lump the Pattern 1 and 2 LDL cholesterol levels into one test, typically, because they either don’t know or don’t care that their test is not valid unless they do this test. You see, Pattern 2 is the culprit and the body utilizes cholesterol to heal the body and you need the Pattern 1 LDL cholesterol. So to just lower it without knowing this information is, unfortunately, the normal procedure. And this is because drug companies want you to NOT understand this and doctors are being economically persuaded to push this misinformation on people.
Cholesterol is an alcohol, NOT a fat. 85% in your body is made in your liver and only 15% is from your diet. If you don’t get enough, your body makes more to compensate. If you get too much, it reduces what it makes. Your body is much smarter than drug companies, but just as they did with DDT when it first came out, they are telling you, "it’s good for you."
Have you ever known anyone to be deficient in drugs? The reason cholesterol levels increase is due to an increase in inflammation in the body. That is the root cause, NOT cholesterol! So reducing the cholesterol does not reduce inflammation, but it does prevent the body from repairing well. This is why STROKE is now number 3 killer of Americans, over 50% of the statin drug users have muscle pains, reduced heart muscle health and heart disease is not decreasing in the population. These "life support" drugs are decreasing people’s quality of life and NOT fixing the problem, just making people feel better about deteriorating prematurely.
The LDL (low density lipid protein) and HDL (high density lipid protein) are both important in the body. The LDL takes inflammatory fatty acids to a damaged site and the HDL cleans up the damaged area(s) with fatty acids that counteract the inflammation. This is the body’s natural way of dealing with infection and inflammation. Inflaming an area causes more blood flow and once fixed, cleaning up the area is part of the healing process. Do you actually believe the body doesn’t know what it’s doing?
Focus on being healthy, not make believe health from drugs.
Challenge that guys understanding before just trusting he is doing the best thing for you. Doctors have NO training in nutrition and focus on treating symptoms, not providing health.
good luck to you
