my best friend (who is 21) was just told that her cholesterol is way too high! She is given three months to lower it before they will consider medication. She isn’t sure how to go about lowering her cholesterol besides working out. What foods should she stay away from or what foods should she eat more of? Any advice would be great!
An easy way to start off on the right track is to cut out breads, pastas, rice, and refined sugars (or eat them in moderation).
Eat plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits – cut out any acid-forming foods such as alcohol and coffee.
Hope this helps your friend!
