Does garlic &onions reduces HDL cholesterol.?
I know that onions&garlic reduces LDL cholesterol,but does it reduces the hdl cholesterol.

Just the opposite, studies have shown that eating half an onion a day can raise your HDL by as much as 30 percent, and garlic has the effect of lowering total cholesterol.

HDL, the so-called "good" cholesterol is not something you want to reduce. You want to increase HDL for better heart health. Garlics and onions reduce bad cholesterol, LDL. Fish like salmon increase good cholesterol, HDL.
